Decking kits come with all the components included that you need to install a deck in your garden or back yard. In kit form, you will have all the nuts, bolts and timber you need without having to source it all individually. But is it easy to install one of these timber decking kits as part of a DIY project?
If you have some prior knowledge of construction or you are an avid DIY expert, it might be possible to install a decking kit yourself very successfully. Most brands will come with full instructions for fitting. It might be more complicated if your garden is an unusual shape or your decking is going to be curved around, or if it is going to be located at height, with lots of supporting posts underneath. This might be a job for the professionals, as failure to install it correctly could be dangerous.
